Fun on the Fourth

Fox Point's Independence Day parade begins at 9 a.m. Participants should assemble at the police station, 7300 N. Santa Monica Blvd., at 8:30 a.m. The parade will wind its way north on Santa Monica, west on Lombardy Road to Bell Road and then back east on Bell to Longacre Pavilion. The celebration at the pavilion lasts until noon and features free ice cream, a jazz trio, a softball game, clowns, face painting and more.
