MEDICAL LEAVE-OF-ABSENCE
I will be away for awhile, having major surgery. I have a favor to ask each of you...
I'm bothered by the tone of the comments here. The non-civil comments are coming from both those on the right-wing and those on the left-wing. Please stop, at least while I'm in the hospital. And a seemingly cooperative statement followed by a snide remark is just as bad. Stop it, please.
The comments sometimes are interpreted as representative of me. They are not. I have never run into this sort of thing before. I have addressed conservative and liberal groups, never with this sort of irrational rant.
I know you each want to blame the "other side." But reading some of what you write is a little like being on a playground with little kids yelling back and forth: "You started it!" "No I didn't, you did!" That is all not too far from, "My dad can beat up your dad!" Everyone is anonymous here. It doesn't take much courage to make charges and slams against others and remaining "unknown." That is cowardly!
Stop it, please. If nothing else, have a little empathy and sympathy for me and my serious medical procedure.
