DISGUSTING FOX, MURDOCH, ETC.
After many months of investigating the actions of the Rupert Murdoch empire, Britain's Parliament has released a statement. It involved Members of Parliament from the Conservatives, the Liberals, and the middle of the road doing the questioning and writing the report. While the Conservatives were uncomfortable with some aspects of the report, they all were a part of the honest investigation. Here is some of what the report said:
"On the basis of the facts and evidence before the committee, we conclude that, if at all relevant times Rupert Murdoch did not take steps to become fully informed about phone hacking, he turned a blind eye and exhibited willful blindness to what was going on in his companies and publications."
"This culture, we consider, permeated from the top throughout the organization and speaks volumes about the lack of effective corporate governance at News Corporation and News International..."
"We conclude, therefore, that Rupert Murdoch is not a fit person to exercise the stewardship of a major international company."
The Murdoch empire incluldes FOX NEWS in the U.S. Imagine, this man of low ethics and morals heads a company in the U.S. that many people use as their main news source! That is sickening beyond belief. This is not a unique charge against Rupert and James Murdoch, it is an obvious symptom of what FOX is.
No matter to the right-wing in America. They will believe FOX, Rush Limbaugh, Glenn Beck, and the rest of the low-lifes that inhabit right-wing news and political entertainment in the United States.
Though many right-wing supporters and politicians in the U.S. will try to hide, the charges in Britain are only the first shot across the bow. And this is all coming to America. FOX and Murdoch will face a variety of investigations here. In its "Talking Points," TPM reported this way...
"As it faces fallout from the report in the U.K., News Corp remains under investigation in the U.S. The U.S. Justice Department last summer began looking into allegations that News Corp had hacked the phones of 9/11 victims, and Attorney General Eric Holder himself met with a number of victims' families. On Tuesday, a Justice Department spokeswoman said that the investigation was ongoing. The department is also investigating whether News Corp violated the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) when its employees allegedly paid bribes to foreign officials such as police, law enforcement, and corporate sources, according to Reuters."
Now will come all the cover-up, the lies, the distortions, the deceptions by the many right-wing sources. One thing remains, though, the report from Parliament is very, very clear. Don't continue to be deceived by FOX and its sleazy partners. We have been misled, misdirected, and lied to far too long in the U.S. by Murdoch, Fox, etc.
