Eleanor Shirley and Philip Morefield of Washington, D.C., were married Oct. 20, 2012, at The Arts Club in Washington, D.C.
Parents of the bride are Bill and Judy Shirley of Fox Point. The groom's parents are Nancy and the late Kevin Morefield of Omaha, Neb.
Bridesmaids were Kate O'Gara Shirley, sister-in-law of the bride, Meredith Underhill, sister of the groom, and Charlotte Underhill, niece of the groom.
Groomsmen were Tim Morefield, brother of the groom, and Kenny Shirley, brother-in-law of the groom.
The bride, a 1998 graduate of Nicolet High School, earned her bachelor's degree from Wake Forest University and her master's degree from American University in Washington, D.C. She served in the Peace Corps for two years in Uzbekistan and currently works at Peace Corps headquarters in Washington, D.C., as an evaluation specialist.
The groom earned his bachelor's degree from the University of Nebraska-Omaha and his master's degree from Portland State University. He is a research geographer with the Environmental Protection Agency.
Ellie has signed Phil up for gourmet cooking classes, and Phil is coaching Ellie to root for the Huskers.
