• David Lick of Glendale and Alexander Wauck of Whitefish Bay were named to the fall 2008 dean's list at Gustavus Adolphus College, St. Peter, Minn.
• Emily Hunter of Brown Deer was named to the fall 2008 dean's list at Trinity Christian College, Palos Heights, Ill.
• Lauren Senour of Brown Deer, Kate Kaminski of Mequon and Gretel Bubnik and Elizabeth Holterman of Thiensville were named to the fall 2008 dean's list at St. Norbert College.
• Ashley Retzlaff of Bayside, Catherine Pfeifer of Brown Deer, Andrew Handeland of Thiensville and Ted Bruce of Whitefish Bay were named to the fall 2008 dean's list at Ripon College.
YOURNEIGHBORS
• Michael Bolens, a student at Homestead High School, presented more than 8,000 new and gently used books to Next Door's Books for Kids program Jan. 16. He collected the books as a part of an Eagle Scout project. Books for Kids will distribute the books to central city students enrolled in Next Door's Head Start and Charter School programs and throughout the community. He motivated other students to donate by providing a pizza party incentive. In addition, he enlisted help from employees of Brady Corp. to provide a monetary match for every book donated, which resulted in a $1,000 donation.

• Erik Anderson of Whitefish Bay was named to the fall 2008 dean's list at the University of Minnesota.
• Michael Dolsky and Talia Hindin, both of Mequon, and Brooke Woodard of Whitefish Bay all graduated from the University of Iowa in fall 2008.
