Village asks Bayside residents to clean up, green up

The village of Bayside is asking residents to "clean up and green up" from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Thursday and Friday, April 23 and 24, and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, April 25 and 26.

Residents are asked to clean their yards and the ditches in front of their homes and to clean out extra items from their homes. Residents can bring items to Village Hall, 9075 N. Regent Road, for proper disposal during the cleanup.

Electronics and computer equipment, waste oil, recycling, garbage and yard waste will be accepted. Oil-based paint, solvent-based cleaners, gasoline, prescription medication, refrigerators, dehumidifiers and automotive parts will not be accepted.

Volunteers are needed for each of the four days. Call Village Hall at (414) 351-8811 to volunteer.

Bill Sargent band to play at St. Eugene dance

The Bill Sargent Big Band will play at the 17th annual St. Eugene School dinner, dance and auction at 5:30 p.m. Saturday, April 25, at the school, 7600 N. Port Washington Road, Fox Point.

The parish will be transformed into a swanky club room for the 2009 event, "Celebrate." Dinner will be prepared by Chef Jack's of Waukesha. The event includes a live auction, silent auction and announcement of the $7,500 grand-prize raffle winners.
