·Trisha DeSalvo of Glendale earned her bachelor's degree cum laude in computer game development from DePaul University in Chicago in June. She will be attending DePaul in the fall to complete her master's degree in computer animation.

·Christopher Brown of Fox Point and Molly Donohue of Whitefish Bay earned their bachelor's degrees, in democracy and justice studies and in nursing, from the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay in May.

·Madeleine Cohen of Whitefish Bay made the spring semester dean's list at Boston University in Boston, Mass.

·Lydia Hartlaub and Gavin Schroeder of Shorewood made the spring semester dean's list at Illinois Wesleyan University in Bloomington.

·Brynn Darga of Mequon earned academic honors for fall semester at the University of Wisconsin-Parkside in Kenosha.

· The following students made the spring semester dean's list at St. Norbert College in De Pere: from Mequon, Rebecca Weinrich; from Thiensville, Samuel Morris and Madaline Wienser; and from Whitefish Bay, JoAnna Ruppa.

·Michael Edwards of Thiensville made the spring semester dean's list at Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa.

SCHOOLSCENE

·Ali Leinbach, a 2013 graduate of Whitefish Bay High School, has been selected to spend a year abroad in Germany through the Congress-Bundestag Youth Exchange program, a scholarship program for German and American teens. Twenty-five high school graduates are chosen each year from around the country for this program.

·Jamie Breiwick, music teacher at Maple Dale School in Fox Point, is among 217 music teachers nationwide to be quarterfinalists for the Music Educator Award presented by The Recording Academy and the GRAMMY Foundation. Winners will be selected in August.

SERVICENEWS

· Air Force Airman 1st Class Dmitriy M. Mudrets graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland in San Antonio, Texas. Mudrets, the son of Irina Mudrets of Thiensville, is a 2005 graduate of Homestead High School in Mequon.
