Salena Altamese Moore of Glendale and Holley Salmon of Whitefish Bay made the fall semester dean's list at Syracuse University in New York.

Abigail Schuyler of Fox Point, Laura Podolske and Lucas Verstegen of Mequon, and Kelly McMahon of Shorewood made the fall semester dean's list at Northern Michigan University in Marquette.

Katherine Troast of Whitefish Bay was inducted into Phi Upsilon Omicron, the national honor society of family and consumer science, at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Kara Stephens of Bayside was inducted into the Alpha Sigma Nu honor society at Marquette University in April.

Soprano Naiza Delica of Shorewood, a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee with a bachelor's degree in vocal performance, won the second-place award of $750 at the MacDowell Club of Milwaukee's 2013 Scholarship Auditions in April.


Martha Leplae-Arthur of Glendale, a student at Nicolet High School, and Tiwadeye Lawal of River Hills, a student at University School of Milwaukee in River Hills, earned National Achievement Scholarship awards, a result of their scores on the 2011 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test, which they took as high school juniors. The program honors scholastically talented black youth.

Gabriel Jacobs and Andrew Zhu of Mequon, students at Homestead High School, and Katherine Plaster of Whitefish Bay, a student at Whitefish Bay High School, earned corporate-sponsored National Merit Scholarship awards, a result of their scores on the 2011 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test, which they took as high school juniors.


Air Force Airman Justin C. Agee graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas. Agee, the son of Veronica and Charles Agee of Milwaukee, is a 2007 graduate of Dominican High School in Whitefish Bay.


Greg Berg of Whitefish Bay, managing director of investments at the Milwaukee branch of Wells Fargo Advisors, was ranked among Barron's Top 1,000 Financial Advisors for 2013, as announced in the weekly magazine's Feb. 18 issue. Berg was ranked 14th in the state of Wisconsin. Berg has 29 years of experience in the brokerage industry. He has a bachelor's degree summa cum laude in finance and marketing from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
