1A man and woman, 33 and 24 of Brown Deer, were arrested for obstruction for lying to police in the 8900 block of North Park Plaza Court on Aug. 14. They said a man entered their apartment through the patio door and took a cell phone and a car title from the woman's purse. Police called the victim's cell phone and the man who answered, 22 of Milwaukee, said he had not robbed the couple but the man gave him those items as collateral for a $120 debt. The Brown Deer man admitted that debt was for cocaine he purchased.
2A 27-year-old Brown Deer man was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia in the 8300 block of North 50th Street about 11 p.m. Aug. 22. A relative called police after finding a metal spoon with heroin residue in the bathroom and a syringe in the toilet. The suspect said he hadn't used drugs for a number of months but was depressed because his girlfriend broke up with him so he purchased "four bags" of heroin for $50.
3A stereo, digital media player, five bottles of liquor and other items valued at more than $800 were taken from a locked car in an underground garage in the 5900 block of West Brown Deer Road on Aug. 22 or 23. Damage was $700.
4A 22-year-old Brown Deer man was arrested for drunken driving, no proof of insurance and warned for expired registration in the 8400 block of North Green Bay Road at 3:30 a.m. Aug. 27. The man admitted drinking two shots of tequila, two beers and some vodka. His blood-alcohol content was 0.09.
5A snow plow valued at $4,000 was taken from Northpoint Service Station, 8000 N. Port Washington Road, on Aug. 26 or 27. The owner said it would take at least two people to lift the plow.
6A 20-year-old Mequon man was arrested for drunken driving and given a warning for speeding 45 mph in a 35 mph zone in the 8600 block of North Port Washington Road at 1 a.m. Aug. 27. His BAC was 0.09.
7Vandalism of about $500 was reported at the Town Club, 7950 N. Santa Monica Blvd., at 8 a.m. Aug. 29. Planters, concrete benches, chairs, umbrellas and other items had been thrown into the pool. Some club items were also found in the 7900 block of North Fairchild Road.
8An 18-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for underage possession of alcohol and obstruction after giving a false name outside a store in the 8700 block of North Port Washington Road at 1:30 p.m. Aug. 31. The man, who was dressed like a woman and thought to be a woman by store security, was also wanted on a Greendale warrant.
9GPS units valued at $400 placed on dashboards in plain view in two unlocked cars were taken in the 7800 block of North Berwyn Avenue on Aug. 23 or 24.
10An digital media player and charger valued at $275 were taken from an unsecured car in the 2100 block of West Edward Lane on Aug. 25 or 26.
11A 20-year-old Milwaukee woman was arrested for theft of clothing and men's fragrances valued at more than $200 from Kohl's, 5650 N. Bayshore Drive, at 3:30 p.m. Aug. 26. The woman, who carried a baby in a car seat, placed the fragrances and some clothing items in a purse and put some items on under her own clothing. She said she intended to sell everything to buy baby food.
12Asphalt shingles valued at $1,200 were taken from Manchester Village, 2420 W. Good Hope Road, sometime Aug. 26 to 30.
13Four bicycles valued at more than $375 that had been locked together were taken from a parking garage at Bayshore Town Center, 5631 N. Bayshore Drive, before noon Aug. 28.
14A 63-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for theft of more than $260 worth of meat, trespassing and bail jumping at Pick 'n Save, 6969 N. Port Washington Road, at 8 p.m. Aug. 28. The man loaded the meat into a cart and tried to leave the store.
15A 48-year-old Milwaukee woman was arrested for drunken driving and refusal to take a breath test after making an illegal U-turn in the 5600 block of North Port Washington Road at 2 a.m. Aug. 29. The woman, who failed field sobriety tests, said she had one beer.
16Three Milwaukee girls, two 14, one 15, were arrested for theft of items valued at more than $500 from Boston Store, 5701 N. Lydell Ave., at 12:30 p.m. Aug. 30. The girls put items into a foiled-lined purse and fled the store. One was caught in Whitefish Bay and the other two fled in a car driven by a 33-year-old Milwaukee woman. The car was stopped at the southbound on-ramp of Interstate 43. The woman was arrested for driving while suspended and a warrant. One of the girls denied stealing saying she wouldn't do that because she was on probation.

17A 37-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for panhandling after a report of him being verbally abusive while demanding money in the 4000 block of North Oakland Avenue about noon Aug. 31.
18A 66-year-old Shorewood man was the victim of a robbery as he sat in his wheelchair in the 4000 block of North Oakland Avenue at 3:40 p.m. Sept. 1. The robber, who took $100 from the man, was described as a black male about 25, 5 foot 10 inches tall and 180 pounds with hair pulled back into a bun, wearing a light blue jacket with white stripes across the chest. Similar incidents with a man matching that description were reported in Milwaukee and West Allis.
19A screen was cut and entry gained and $20 taken from a purse in the 4600 block of North Morris Boulevard on Aug. 24 or 25 and reported Aug. 30.
20A lawn mower, snow blower, trimmer and tool belt with a total value of more than $1,000 were taken from a garage in the 5900 block of North Bay Ridge Avenue sometime Aug. 29 and reported Aug. 30.
21An 18-year-old Glendale woman was arrested for violation of absolute sobriety and failure to obey a traffic signal in the 4800 block of North Port Washington Road at 2:15 a.m. Aug. 31. Her BAC was 0.14.
22Four 17-year-old Whitefish Bays girls were questioned after a report of a group of teens toilet-papering Whitefish Bay High School, 1200 E. Fairmount Ave., at 10:30 p.m. Aug. 31. At least 15 to 20 others ran from the scene. The girls were told to clean up the toilet paper.
• A resident reported an attempted scam after receiving a call from someone impersonating her son saying he was in a Canadian jail and needed $5,000 about 1 p.m. Sept. 1. The woman called her son who was working in Milwaukee and was not in Canada. No money was sent.
23A 17-year-old Fox Point boy was mailed citations for hit-and-run and illegal U-turn after a witness saw him hit another car and drive away in the 5100 block of North Kimbark Place at 3:30 p.m. Sept. 1.
24Two cars were entered in the 4800 block of North Sheffield Avenue on Sept. 2 or 3. Items valued at more than $2,000 including a laptop, GPS unit and credit cards were taken from one car and a camera, GPS unit and cell phone valued at more than $300 were taken from the other car. A window was smashed and pry marks were found on the cars.
25A 51-year-old Whitefish Bay man was arrested for disorderly conduct after a resident called police reporting a man sitting in a car in the alley in the 5300 block of North Hollywood Avenue at 8:45 p.m. Sept. 3. The man became aggressive and belligerent with police and was arrested.
