1A woman, age and residence not released, was arrested for possession of marijuana and theft at Burlington, 9040 N. Green Bay Road, at 2:45 p.m., Aug. 5. The woman, who was stopped after taking pants valued at $28, had 2.61 grams of marijuana in her purse.
2A man, age and residence not released, was arrested Aug. 17 for a theft Aug. 14 at Walmart, 6300 W. Brown Deer Road. On Aug. 14, he entered the store dressed like an employee, wearing a Walmart vest, and loaded two TVs valued at $876 into a cart and walked out of the store. He returned to the store Aug. 17 and was recognized and was arrested.
3A purse was taken from a car in the 4400 block of West Woodale Avenue Aug. 19 or 20 and recovered about a block away Aug. 20.
4A man, age and residence not released, was arrested for possession of marijuana with intent to deliver at Pitney Bowes, 9053 N. 60th Street at 3 a.m., Aug. 20. The man, an employee, was found with nine baggies holding 5.68 grams of marijuana after a report of marijuana odor in a locker room.
5Two women, ages and residences not released, were arrested for theft of children’s clothing and linens valued at $420 at Walmart, 6300 W. Brown Deer Road, at 1:20 p.m., Aug. 20. The women were checking out using the self-check line and were seen switching tags and putting items into bags without scanning them.
6A boy, age and residence not released, was arrested for attempted theft of a car in the 4900 block of West Brown Deer Road at 3:30 p.m. Aug. 20. In a possibly related incident, another car was found with the ignition punched at the same location.
7Two girls, ages and residences not released, were arrested for theft of make-up and jewelry valued at $190 at Walmart, 6300 W. Brown Deer Road, at 4:40 p.m., Aug. 20. The girls put the items into their purses and when stopped as they left the store, said they were sorry.
8A flat screen TV, value not listed, was taken from the 4500 block of West Tower Avenue during the day Aug. 20. A rear screen was cut to gain entry.
9Two 55-inch TVs and jewelry, value not yet available, were taken from the 8600 block of North 68th Street some time 9 a.m. to 1:15 p.m., Aug. 21. There was no information on how entry was gained.
10A Brown Deer man, age not released, was arrested for disorderly conduct/domestic violence related, after he threw items around a residence at 11 a.m., Aug. 22. No injuries were reported.
11A Dodge Caravan was taken from Family Table, 6598 W. Brown Deer Road, before 4 p.m., Aug. 22. It was recovered in the 4400 block of West Good Hope Road on Aug. 23.
XXA Brown Deer woman, residence not released, was arrested for disorderly conduct/domestic violence related after slapping a relative and a friend of that relative and then throwing honey and salsa at the couple at midnight, Aug. 24.
12Three cars were entered but nothing reported taken in the 5200 block of West Brown Deer Road overnight Aug. 25 or 26.
13A woman, age and residence not released, was arrested for drunken driving, reckless driving/endangering safety, defective tail light and speeding up to 80 mph in a 30 mph zone in the 7800 block of North Port Washington Road at 3:10 a.m., Aug. 22. The woman denied drinking but admitted smoking cigarettes. She failed field sobriety tests and had a BAC of 0.10.
14A 16-year-old Milwaukee girl was arrested for theft and obstruction at Kohl’s, 5650 N. Bayshore Drive, at 7 p.m., Aug. 19. The girl took clothing valued at $155 and gave a false name.
15Three Milwaukee men, ages 18, 19 and 25, were taken into custody with charges pending for forcible robbery after a woman was grabbed from behind and her purse taken as she walked in the second-floor parking structure at Bayshore Town Center, 575 W. Glen Bay Avenue, at 4 p.m., Aug. 20. The crime was caught on surveillance video along with the suspects’ car. That car was located in the 6400 block of West Silver Spring Drive with the men inside along with the woman’s purse.
16Electronics valued at more than $4,000, including a 55-inch flat screen TV, laptop and iPad were taken from the 1700 block of West Rochelle Avenue during the day Aug. 20. A screen was cut to gain entry.
17Two 13-year-old boys and two 15-year-old boys, of Milwaukee, were arrested for theft of items valued at more than $500 taken from American Eagle, Sports Authority and Kohl’s at Bayshore Town Center, 5800 N. Bayshore Drive, at 7:30 p.m., Aug. 20. Eight boys fled the scene, six were stopped and four arrested.
18A resident reported receiving $500 in counterfeit $100 and $50 bills in payment for her 55-inch flat screen posted for sale on Craigslist in the 6000 block of North Green Bay Avenue about 7:30 p.m., Aug. 20. The “buyer” gave her the bills and took the TV. Early the next morning, she went to a gas station to get change and was told the bills were counterfeit.
19A 25-year-old Glendale woman and a 43-year-old Milwaukee woman were arrested for theft of clothing valued at more than $200 from Forever 21, 5766 N. Bayshore Drive, at 5 p.m., Aug. 21. They set off the alarm as they left the store and drove away but were stopped and arrested.
20Two Trek bicycles valued at $1,000 and a pellet gun valued at $189 were reported taken from an unlocked detached garage in the 1700 block of West Mill Road at 5:56 p.m., Aug. 21. In a possible related burglary, another resident in the same block reported a power washer, generator and other items valued at over $700 were taken from his garage Aug. 21 or 22.
21A 23-year-old Milwaukee woman was arrested for theft of children’s clothing valued at $231 at Boston Store, 5701 N. Lydell Ave., at 6:45 p.m., Aug. 21. The woman said she took the clothing because she didn’t have any money.
22A 26-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for drunken driving, driving with a suspended license, open intoxicants and, along with three passengers, for failure to wear seat belts after he was seen weaving in traffic in the 5700 block of North Port Washington Road at 2:40 a.m., Aug. 23. The man admitted smoking marijuana, drinking and taking ecstasy pills “earlier.” His BAC was 0.15.
23A 2005 Chevy Impala was taken from the 2600 block of West Custer Avenue and a Ford pickup truck from the 500 block of West Riverview Drive sometime Aug. 23 to 25.
24A 21-year-old Milwaukee woman was arrested for theft from her employer, Kohl’s, 5650 N. Bayshore Drive, at 7 p.m., Aug. 24. She took items valued at more than $400 and when arrested said it was “a dumb thing to do.”
25The steering column and door were damaged during an attempted theft of a Chrysler in the 3000 block of West Good Hope Road during the day Aug. 25.
26A 24-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for theft of a cell phone after meeting the phone’s owner, who had offered it for sale on Craigslist, and the two met at the BP Station, 525 W. Silver Spring Drive, at 10 p.m., Aug. 25. The suspect grabbed the phone and drove off in a Dodge Intrepid, a car that matched the description of one used in numerous robberies in the area. The owner then received a call from the “buyer” saying he could buy back his phone for $300 and to meet in the 3000 block of West Hampton Avenue. Police found the man, the car and the phone in the 3800 block of West Hampton Avenue.

27An 18-year-old Brookfield man was arrested for drunken driving and along with an 18-year-old Milwaukee man for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia in the 1200 block of East Capitol Drive at 1:16 a.m., Aug. 17. The Milwaukee man was also arrested for underage possession after he was found with a bottle of gin. The driver failed field sobriety tests and had a BAC of 0.08.
28A lock box holding private papers and a jewelry box with sewing materials inside were taken during a burglary while the resident was home in the 8500 block of North Murray Avenue about 2 p.m., Aug. 21. The resident got up from a nap and found a man in the living room. When he saw her he said he must be in the wrong house. She then saw another man in the hallway and both men fled the scene. A screen had been pushed open to gain entry.
29A 33-year-old Milwaukee woman was arrested for drunken driving and disorderly conduct after being stopped for weaving in traffic in the 3500 of North Oakland Avenue at 11:40 p.m., Aug. 21. The woman failed field sobriety tests and had a BAC of 0.16.
30A 19-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving without a valid license, a New Berlin warrant and speeding 46 mph in a 25 mph zone in the 3900 block of North Oakland Avenue at 1:40 a.m., Aug. 22. He was turned over to New Berlin police.
31Obscene messages were reported on chalk boards in three classrooms at St. Robert School, 2200 E. Capitol Drive, at 9 a.m., Aug. 22. The damage would have occurred some time July 25 to Aug. 22.
32A 25-year-old Waukesha man was arrested for drunken driving and possession of marijuana in the 2100 block of East Edgewood Avenue at 3:40 a.m., Aug. 23. A 19-year-old Waukesha woman was arrested for underage drinking and criminal damage to property after breaking a microphone in the interview room. The man’s BAC was 0.10.
33Two cars were entered in the 2400 block of East Menlo Boulevard and one in the 4600 block of West Woodruff Avenue Avenue, Aug. 23 to 25. Nothing was reported taken.
34More than $400 in coins, three cartons of cigarettes valued at $212 and 19 lottery tickets valued at $380 were taken from Village Petroleum, 4000 N. Wilson Drive, about 2:30 a.m., Aug. 27. A door window was broken to gain entry, causing $250 damage.
35A Dodge was taken and another car reported damage to the ignition behind the 4200 block of North Wilson Drive about 4 a.m., Aug. 27. Also found at that location was another Dodge that had been stolen out of Milwaukee.
36A male and female, not yet 21 and residences not released, were arrested for underage drinking and the female also for possession of drug paraphernalia and the male for possession of marijuana at Big Bay Park, 5000 N. Palisades Road, at 1:40 a.m., Aug. 25. The female had a pipe with residue and the man a trace amount of marijuana.
37A laptop computer valued at more than $1,700 and other items, including a TV and jewelry, value not available, were taken from the 4600 block of North Marlborough Drive between 8 a.m. and 7:30 p.m., Aug. 25. Forced entry was gained at a window air conditioner.
XXResidents reported getting a phone call from “Chester” with an Asian/India accent saying he was with the IRS and unless they paid $40,000 local police would arrest them. No money was sent.
XXA resident reported that MasterCard stopped a fraudulent charge after someone attempted to use both her credit card and social security numbers to buy an airline ticket in Angola, Africa, on Aug. 26.
38A man was seen putting laundry detergent valued at more than $200 into plastic bags and walking out of CVS Pharmacy, 240 E. Hampton Road, at 5:50 p.m., Aug. 26. The man got into an older Chevy Camaro and fled.
39Two unlocked cars were entered but nothing taken in the alley behind the 4900 block of North Larkin Street overnight Aug. 26 and 27.
40A man, age and residence not released, was arrested for drunken driving and possession of a pipe and grinder both with marijuana residue after he was found passed out in a running car in the 100 block of West Chateau Place at 4:50 a.m., Aug. 27. His BAC was 0.14.
41An unlocked Trek 26-inch mountain bike valued at $400 was taken from a rack outside Whitefish Bay High School,1200 E. Fairmount Ave., between 3:30 p.m. Aug. 27 and 11 a.m. Aug. 28.
XXA resident reported an attempted scam after getting a call from Microsoft saying her computer had a virus and the caller needed remote access to repair it Aug. 28. The call happened about a month ago and no information was given.
