BAYSIDE

No reportable incidents occurred last week.

BROWN DEER

A 48-year-old man and 43-year-old woman, both of Milwaukee, were arrested for theft after taking clothing valued at $390 from Old Navy, 9094 N. Green Bay Road, at 12:30 p.m. Feb. 11. Police forwarded the case to the Milwaukee County District Attorney's Office for a review because the man has been arrested 41 times.

A 26-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested on an open warrant and for carrying a concealed weapon, a large hunting knife, under the front seat of his car in the 7500 block of North Sherman Boulevard at 12:30 a.m. Feb. 17 after being stopped for having defective taillights.

A purse was taken from Applebee's Neighborhood Grille and Bar, 9080 N. Green Bay Road, between 2:30 and 4 p.m. Feb. 19. The purse contained identification, reading glasses, cash and credit and debit cards. The total value is $900.

FOX POINT

A purse containing a wallet, $100, credit cards and checks was taken from North Shore Congregational Church, 7330 N. Santa Monica Blvd., at 12:08 p.m. Feb. 15.

A 42-year-old Fox Point woman's Social Security number had been used to obtain credit and a computer from Dell Financial Service prior to 11:42 a.m. Feb. 16.

A 21-year-old Sheboygan man was arrested for theft after taking a video game valued at $11 from Best Buy, 8755 N. Port Washington Road, at 9:11 p.m. Feb. 19.

A 35-year-old Wauwatosa woman was arrested for possession of cocaine and a glass pipe in the 7900 block of North Santa Monica Boulevard at 11:22 p.m. Feb. 19.

GLENDALE

A purse was taken from a fitting room at Forever 21, 5766 N. Bayshore Drive, between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Jan. 17. The purse was found the next day, but missing were $25, glasses valued at $365 and debit cards. Four charges totaling $678 were made with the debit cards Jan. 21. The theft was reported Feb. 16.

A wallet and keys valued at $147 were taken from an unlocked locker at LA Fitness, 501 W. Northshore Drive, between 7:30 and 7:50 p.m. Feb. 12.

A purse hanging on the back of a chair was taken at the bar at Applebee's Neighborhood Grill & Bar, 5810 N. Bayshore Drive, between 7:30 and 7:45 p.m. Feb. 14. The purse valued at $30 contained $7 and property worth an estimated $120 plus credit and debit cards and a checkbook. Shortly after they were taken, the cards were used at Best Buy in Fox Point to purchase $2,085 worth of televisions and gift cards.

A 20-year-old Milwaukee man was cited for possession of 1.2 ounces of marijuana and expired registration in the 3000 block of West Good Hope Road about 9:25 p.m. Feb. 14 after being stopped for having no taillights.

A truck was broken into and a roof-top light bar valued at $480 taken in the 2300 block of West Camden Road about 12:15 a.m. Feb. 15.

A van window was smashed and a television, speaker, audio box, amplifier and two cell phones, all valued at $1,200, were taken at the Hilton Milwaukee River Hotel, 4700 N. Port Washington Road, about noon Feb. 15.

A 300-pound ATM valued at $3,900 and containing an estimated $2,200 was taken from Silver Spring House, 6655 N. Green Bay Ave., between 2:55 and 6:20 a.m. Feb. 16.

A 28-year-old Milwaukee man was cited for drunken driving and driving after revocation and held on a warrant from the West Allis Police Department after he was stopped in the 5400 block of North Port Washington Road about 3:35 a.m. Feb. 16 for apparently having no license plate. He did have a temporary plate but it was not visible because his windows were tinted. He refused a breath test.

A laptop computer valued at $1,300 along with jewelry and a box of checks were taken from a home in the 2400 block of West Raleigh Avenue prior to Feb. 19. No value was available for the jewelry. Glass on a door was broken to get in.

A DVD player valued at $200 along with a camera, $70, and headphones, $40, were taken from Radio Shack, 5520 N. Port Washington Road, about 4:50 p.m. Feb. 19. A couple distracted the clerk while a man is believed to have taken the merchandise.

An estimated $9,700 worth of jewelry was taken from a bedroom closet in the 2400 block of West Applewood Lane between noon and 3:20 p.m. Feb. 20. There was no sign of forced entry.

A 73-year-old Whitefish Bay man was taken to Froedtert Hospital after he made too wide a left turn from the Interstate 43 exit ramp at Silver Spring Drive and crashed into the east bridge abutment carrying I-43 traffic over Silver Spring about 3:50 p.m. Feb. 20. His car also hit a traffic signal.

A 28-year-old Cleveland, Wis., was charged with his second offense of possession of heroin by the Milwaukee County District Attorney's Office after falling asleep in the drive-through lane of McDonald's, 5344 N. Port Washington Road, about 8 p.m. Feb. 20. He had been convicted in May 2004 for possession of a controlled substance.

A 15-year-old Milwaukee boy was arrested for burglary while armed and the 14-year-old Milwaukee boy with him was arrested for being a party to the crime after the two broke into a house in the 5700 block of North Bel Aire Drive about 10:25 p.m. Feb. 20. They took a .22-caliber pistol and two watches. Police caught the 15-year-old as he ran out. The 14-year-old surrendered before a police dog was used to search the upper floor where he was hiding.

Two cell phones valued at $800 were taken at Apple Store, 5715 N. Centerpark Way, about 6:50 p.m. Feb. 21.

RIVER HILLS

No reportable incidents occurred last week.

SHOREWOOD

A bench was damaged in the 3800 block of North Morris Boulevard between 3 p.m. Feb. 13 and 7:30 a.m. Feb. 16. Damage is estimated at $2,200.

Jewelry and a camera valued at $900 were taken from a home in the 2000 block of East Kenmore Place between 6 and 6:50 p.m. Feb. 18. Access was gained by breaking a window.

A wallet containing $63, a driver's license and credit cards was taken from Stone Creek Coffee, 4106 N. Oakland Ave., between 6:15 and 7:45 p.m. Feb. 19.

A 38-year-old Shorewood man was arrested for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia in the 3800 block of North Oakland Avenue at 2:24 a.m. Feb. 21.

An 18-year-old Shorewood man was arrested for underage drinking in the 1900 block of East Shorewood Boulevard at 3:19 a.m. Feb. 22. His blood-alcohol content was 0.06.

A 43-year-old homeless man was arrested for trespassing at an apartment in the 3500 block of North Oakland Avenue at 3:40 a.m. Feb. 22. The man had ransacked the apartment and took food from the kitchen.

WHITEFISH BAY

About $10 was taken from an unlocked vehicle in the 5200 block of North Diversey Boulevard between 8:30 p.m. Feb. 16 and 10 a.m. Feb. 17.

A window was spray-painted with graffiti at Whitefish Bay High School, 1200 E. Fairmount Ave., between 3 p.m. Feb. 18 and 6:30 a.m. Feb. 19. Damage is estimated at $150.

Police responded to one domestic incident last week.

NORTH SHORE FIRE DEPARTMENT

Firefighters answered 107 calls, 70 emergency medical and 37 fire/rescue, between Feb. 16 and 22.

Firefighters blocked off the 900 block of West Acacia Road, Glendale, at 4:03 p.m. Feb. 18 after a report of a downed power line. It was determined the line was a cable television line. We Energies cut the power to the line, which appeared to have been brought down by a truck.

A man plowing a driveway in the 1900 block of West Windsor Circle, Glendale, at 1:43 p.m. Feb. 21 hit an electrical meter at the front of a house, which caught fire and then went out. Firefighters found light smoke in the basement and a burned area above the electrical panel in the house. The wiring coming into the house had melted. The electrical panel was shut off and no other signs of fire were found in the house. Other houses in the area reported power outages.
