BAYSIDE

1A wallet and cash, value not available, were taken from a car at the Schlitz Audubon Nature Center, 1111 E. Brown Deer Road, between 2 and 3 p.m. Oct. 5. A window was broken to gain entry.

2A 22-year-old Fitchburg man was arrested for his second drunken-driving offense after making an illegal U-turn at Brown Deer and Port Washington roads at 4:38 a.m. Oct. 11. He was stopped after driving south on Interstate 43. His blood-alcohol content was 0.15.

3A 22-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for employee theft from Sendik's, 340 W. Brown Deer Road, at 8 a.m. Oct. 11. He was seen taking a cart of groceries valued at $200 out to the trash. When his shift ended, he went to retrieve them.

BROWN DEER

4A 30-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for drunken driving and operating after revocation in the 7700 block of North 51st Street at 2:30 a.m. Oct. 10. He admitted knowing his license was revoked but was driving someone home as a favor. He admitted having "one or two beers a while ago." His BAC was 0.17.

5A 25-year-old Brown Deer man was arrested for drunken driving, driving after suspension and speeding 53 mph in a 40 mph zone in the 4700 block of West Brown Deer Road at 1 a.m. Oct. 13. His BAC was 0.11.

6A 45-year-old Grafton woman was arrested for drunken driving and given a warning for open intoxicants after stopping in the middle of the road while talking on her cell phone in the 8600 block of North Green Bay Road at 4:15 p.m. Oct. 13. She continued to speak on her phone and cried "hysterically" telling the officer she had just lost her job, was lost and was calling her husband for directions. She slurred her words and smelled of alcohol and was asked if she had been drinking. "Wouldn't you?" she said. "I just lost my (expletive) job." In her car were two cases of beer, a case each of wine and champagne, 12 wine coolers, more beer and two open bottles of liquor. Her BAC was 0.23

7A 25-year-old Glendale woman was arrested for drunken driving after running a red light at 60th Street and Brown Deer Road at 3:45 a.m. Oct. 14. When stopped blocks later, the woman admitted driving through the red light and also another one because she "wanted to get home." She also admitted having a "few beers." Her BAC was 0.18.

8A counterfeit $100 bill was found in the cash register at Brown Deer Lanes, 4715 W. Bradley Road, at 11:45 p.m. Oct. 14. When held to the light, Abraham Lincoln was seen along with the number five. None of the employees remembered getting the bill, which was sent to the U.S. Secret Service.

9A 24-year-old Brown Deer woman was arrested for her second drunken-driving offense, speeding 57 mph in a 40 mph zone and operating after revocation in the 6800 block of West Brown Deer Road at 1:30 a.m. Oct. 15. She admitted not having a valid license and also a "couple of beers." Her BAC was 0.18.

• Three domestic incidents were reported this week.

FOX POINT

10A 34-year-old woman and two men, 37 and 39, all of Milwaukee, were arrested for theft of 12 bottles of gin and vodka valued at over $300 from CVS Pharmacy, 8661 N. Port Washington Road, at 5:45 p.m. Oct. 9. The 37-year-old man was also charged as a habitual offender since he had three previous theft arrests.

GLENDALE

11A credit card was reported stolen Oct. 9 after it had been left at the Cheesecake Factory, 5799 N. Port Washington Road, on Sept. 19. It had been used to purchase items valued at $200 at El Rey Food Mart in Milwaukee and at a Franklin Walmart.

12A 42-year-old Arizona man was arrested for drunken driving and unsafe lane deviation in the 4900 block of North Port Washington Road at 2:30 a.m. Oct. 10. He refused to take field sobriety tests saying he had a "heart condition, heel spurs and bad knees." Paramedics were called and he was taken for a blood draw. He told an officer, using expletives, that this arrest would ruin his chance to become a police officer.

13Two aluminum doors and awnings valued at over $100 were taken from the 5500 block of North Mohawk Avenue before Oct. 12.

14A Green Bay woman reported Oct. 12 the theft or loss of her necklace, valued at $1,000, while staying at the Radisson Inn, 7065 N. Port Washington Road, on Oct. 2.

15A 23-year-old Glendale woman was arrested for criminal damage to property to a former boyfriend's car in the 700 block of West Glendale Avenue on Oct. 12. The tail lamps had been smashed, the trunk dented and eggs and syrup poured over it. The woman said two other women did it.

16A 54-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for theft of items valued at $1,006 at Kohl's, 5650 N. Bayshore Drive, at 5 p.m. Oct. 12. The man was seen on surveillance video loading up a cart with children's coats and clothing, going into a fitting room and coming out with the cart empty and four Kohl's bags filled with the items. He left the store and was arrested. The clothing was rung up to create a receipt, which listed the total price and also that he would have saved "$492."

17Four Milwaukee males, two 17-year-old boys and men ages 18 and 20, were arrested for fraudulent use of a credit card at Boston Store, 5601 N. Lydell Ave., at 8 p.m. Oct. 12. The credit cards they used were taken during an armed robbery in Wauwatosa - one of the men had a BB gun - and used to purchase gasoline and clothing valued at over $700.

18A man called Pick 'n Save, 6969 N. Port Washington Road, about 11 a.m. Oct. 15 saying if the government didn't pay for his groceries, he was going to "bomb" all the stores.

RIVER HILLS

19A 17-year-old Fox Point boy was arrested for drunken driving and violation of absolute sobriety after being stopped for making an illegal left turn in the 600 block of West Good Hope Road at 12:30 a.m. Oct. 18. His BAC was 0.07. His passengers, two 17-year-old boys of Glendale and Fox Point, were cited for underage drinking.

SHOREWOOD

20A witness reported seeing a white truck or SUV ram into a parked Nissan, which in turn rear-ended a Ford Explorer in the 2100 block of East Menlo Boulevard about 12:30 a.m. Oct. 11. The amount of damage was not available.

21An 18-year-old Shorewood man was taken for a blood draw after he was found passed out in his car with the key in the ignition in the 4100 block of North Lake Drive at 3 a.m. Oct. 11.

22A bicycle valued at $2,000 was taken from a locked storage locker in a garage in the 1700 block of East Kensington Boulevard the afternoon of Oct. 11.

23Someone tried to use a forged prescription at Family Pharmacy, 3512 N. Oakland Ave., about noon Oct. 12.

24A 36-year-old Glendale man was to be mailed a citation for possession of two grams of marijuana and a drug pipe in the 4100 block of North Oakland Avenue at 2:30 p.m. Oct. 12.

• A resident reported being the victim of fraud after three unauthorized purchases totaling over $400 were made on her credit card Oct. 12 and 13.

WHITEFISH BAY

25A 33-year-old Mequon woman was arrested for her second drunken-driving offense after being stopped for a defective tail lamp on North Lake Drive. Her BAC was 0.26.

26A resident, who reported that someone placed dog feces in his recycling bin in the 100 block of East Henry Clay Street on Oct. 10, called police again Oct. 12 to report he put a note on the bins to alert the suspect but more feces was left and the note was torn off.

• A 17-year-old Whitefish Bay boy was cited for habitual truancy Oct. 12.

27A walnut jewelry case and jewelry, value not available, were taken from the 100 block of East Chateau Place between 4 and 8:30 p.m. Oct. 13.

28Whitefish Bay Police were notified by Deerfield, Ill., police of a missing and endangered woman who had removed an oil painting by Molyneux, valued at $100,000, from a Deerfield residence Oct. 13. The woman was found to be fine along with the painting in the 5900 block of North Shore Drive that day. An Illinois resident picked up the painting from the police Oct. 14.

• A resident reported the theft of a book of checks by a known person, who cashed one for $250 after forging her name Oct. 14.

29A 25-year-old Milwaukee woman was arrested for drunken driving after almost running into a squad car in the 5700 block of North Lake Drive at 3 a.m. Oct. 15. Her BAC was 0.23.

30A resident called police to report "a lot of raccoons" in her backyard in the 4600 block of North Wilshire Avenue about 10 a.m. Oct. 15. She was informed to call an animal control company because this was not a police matter.

• Police responded to one domestic dispute this week.

NORTH SHORE FIRE DEPARTMENT

• Firefighters responded to 94 calls, 67 emergency medical and 27 fire/rescue, between Oct. 12 to 18.

31A trash bin fire caused $1,000 damage in the 1800 block of East Lake Bluff Boulevard in Shorewood the morning of Oct. 13.
