• A resident working on the Internet reported that a man she was in contact with exposed himself about 10 p.m. Oct. 14. The phone number he gave was false.
• A resident reported being the victim of fraud when she found more than $100 of fraudulent charges on her credit card Oct. 19.
• A woman reported being the victim of fraud after applying for service from We Energies on Oct. 20 and being told she had outstanding energy bills of more than $1,100 for two apartments in which she did not live.
1Witnesses saw a man lifting a boy over his shoulder and spinning him around in the 4100 block of West Schroeder Drive about 8 p.m. Oct. 21. The man put the boy down and left the scene. The boy, 16, said the man must be crazy and had told him, "I could kill you."
2Two cars were broken into while parked at the YMCA, 9250 N. Green Bay Road, before 8 p.m. Oct. 22. A digital media player valued at $200 was taken from one car that had $200 damage to a window. A wallet with credit cards and a Social Security card was taken from the other.
3A 30-year-old Brown Deer man was arrested for disorderly conduct and a parole violation after he chased a woman with a dust mop in the 4100 block of West Schroeder Drive at 1:45 a.m. Oct. 25. The suspect said he was only protecting himself because the woman had threatened him with a broom. She was 5 feet tall and weighed about 125 pounds and the suspect was much larger. The fight started when a group of people were outside smoking and, according to the suspect, the woman and a man got into his "space." The suspect yelled at them and the man backed off and "was cool" but the "girl talked back" to him. She went into a building and came out with a broom. In order to protect himself, he said, he got the dust mop. He also said a man threatened him with a tire iron, which witnesses denied.
4A 29-year-old Milwaukee man was cited for trespassing after he was seen taking tires from Tires Plus, 9101 N. Deerbrook Trail, at 5 a.m. Oct. 26. The man said the gate was open and he thought taking the tires was "like picking up cans on the side of the road."
5A 23-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for drunken driving and speeding 52 mph in a 35 mph zone in the 8500 block of North Teutonia Avenue at 11 p.m. Oct. 26. The man, who said he had "maybe" two drinks, had a blood-alcohol content of 0.16.
6A 28-year-old Brown Deer man was arrested for drunken driving and operating after revocation when stopped for a defective license plate lamp in the 4600 block of West Parkland Avenue at 2 a.m. Oct. 29. His BAC was 0.09.
7Two backpacks and contents including clothing, cleats and cash with a total value of more than $200 were taken from the 200 block of East Bradley Road on Oct. 28. The backpacks belonged to two boys who were doing yard work for the resident. While working, they left their backpacks in the driveway. When they finished work, the backpacks were gone.
8Two Milwaukee females, 16 and 19, were arrested for theft of crystal frames valued at more than $500 from Boston Store, 5701 N. Lydell Ave., at 3:30 p.m. Oct. 23. They were seen picking up the frames, taking them to a clearance table and switching prices. The frames each cost more than $140 and they put $6 price tags on them. They checked out and drove away but were stopped. When told they were being arrested for theft, they showed the receipts. The woman was also cited for operating after revocation.
• Counterfeit $100 bills were reported at La Quinta Inn, 5110 N. Port Washington Road, Citgo Gas Station, 6204 N. Port Washington Road, Pet Supplies Plus, 5300 N. Port Washington Road, Boston Market, 5470 N. Port Washington Road, and Kohl's, 5650 N. Bayshore Drive, from Oct. 23 to 27.
9A 48-year-old Glendale man was the victim of a strong-armed robbery in the 5600 block of North Argyle Avenue about 12:30 a.m. Oct. 25. He was walking home from the store carrying his groceries when two males approached him. One of them said, "Come over here. I want some of that." The males punched him in the face and grabbed one or two bags and fled. A loaf of bread was found a house away and a torn bag at another house. A resident called police to report a suspicious person who turned out to be the victim.
10A 19-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for possession of 0.67 grams of marijuana, operating after revocation and operating while suspended after he was stopped for driving without lights in the 5300 block of North Green Bay Avenue at 10:40 p.m. Oct. 26.
11A 38-year-Milwaukee man was arrested for robbery and being party to a crime Oct. 29 after a robbery at La Quinta Inn, 5423 N. Port Washington Road, just after midnight Oct. 27. The man and one or two others, one of them with a knife, entered the lobby. One of them reached over the counter and grabbed some money from the register. The men then left after one of them thanked the clerk.
12A 23-year-old Grafton man was arrested for drunken driving and warned for lane deviation in the 2100 block of West Good Hope Road at 9:40 p.m. Oct. 25. His BAC was 0.19.
13Two cars were broken into in the 4100 block of North Larkin Street on Oct. 24 or 25. A $200 leather jacket was taken from one car and a tool set and cell phone from the other.
14A 31-year-old Milwaukee woman and a 41-year-old New Berlin man, both reported to be intoxicated, were arrested for disorderly conduct after a noise complaint in the 4100 block of North Bartlett Avenue at 5 p.m. Oct. 25. The woman was also arrested for obstruction after refusing to give her name and then giving a false name.
15A 29-year-old Shorewood woman was cited for disorderly conduct after a noise complaint in the 1700 block of East Newton Avenue at 2 a.m. Oct. 25. Police, who were called by a neighbor reporting lots of noise and a woman yelling, spoke with the woman asking her to quiet down. The woman agreed to "shut down" her party and went back inside while police waited in the hallway. Within moments, the woman began to yell again threatening the neighbor who called police and also bragging that she didn't get a ticket. Police again knocked on her door and told her she would be mailed a citation.
16A car stereo, a digital media player and cash with a total value of more than $600 were taken from a car in the 3500 block of North Oakland Avenue on Oct. 27 or 28. A window was broken to gain entry.
17An undisclosed amount of money was taken from a clerk at Sendik's, 4027 N. Oakland Ave., at 5:30 p.m. Oct. 28. The suspects kept asking her for different amounts of change, confusing her.
18A 25-year-old Greenfield man was arrested for his second drunken-driving incident, nonregistration, operating after revocation, not wearing a seat belt and speeding 50 mph in a 30 mph zone in the 3600 block of North Lake Drive at 9 p.m. Oct. 28. He refused to take a breath test and was taken for a blood draw.
19A counterfeit $100 bill was reported at Thompson's Serv-U Pharmacy, 1421 E. Capitol Drive, on Oct. 29. It was turned over to the US Secret Service.
20A 19-year-old Glendale woman and two 22-year-old Milwaukee women were arrested for theft of three bottles of liquor valued at more than $80 at Pick 'n Save, 4145 N. Oakland Ave., at 6 p.m. Oct. 29. One of the Milwaukee women, who was wanted on an outstanding warrant and a parole violation, had five counterfeit $100 bills in her possession. They were turned over to the US Secret Service.
21Rocks were thrown through a front bay window causing $1,000 damage in the 5000 block of North Cumberland Boulevard on Oct. 26.
• A resident reported being the victim of identity theft when she received a past-due balance of more than $300 for an online cash loan from Money & More Inc. on Oct. 26.
22A 15-year-old Whitefish Bay boy was cited for underage drinking in the 5100 block of North Kimbark Place at 9:45 p.m. Oct. 28.
23Two girls, 15 and 16, and a boy, 17, of Whitefish Bay, were taken into custody for underage drinking at Whitefish Bay High School, 1200 E. Fairmount Ave., about 10 p.m. Oct. 28. They were turned over to their parents and were to be mailed citations for underage drinking.
24A 46-year-old Whitefish Bay man was to be cited for theft after a witness reported him cutting brass from wires at a construction site in the 5600 block of North Lake Drive at 2 p.m. Oct. 30.
