North Shore Police Report: May 22

1Construction materials valued at over $20,000 including two trailers, tools, copper piping and a compactor were taken from the Walmart construction site, 6300 W. Brown Deer Road April 25 or 26.

2A man reported being the victim of a robbery of two pairs of Cartier sunglasses valued at $300 at N. 51st Street and W. Fairy Chasm Road at 8 p.m. May 5. The victim had posted a selfie with the glasses on Facebook and was contacted by the suspect who said he wanted to buy the glasses. The two men met and it was then the suspect grabbed the glasses and fled.

3A 2003 Dodge was taken from Brown Deer High School, 8200 N. 60th Street, the morning of May 6. Left behind was a green van with damage to a lock and steering column reported stolen out of Milwaukee. The Dodge was recovered in the 5400 block of W. Good Hope Road May 7.

4A woman, age and residence not released, was arrested for theft of baby clothing valued at $203 from Old Navy, 9094 N. Green Bay Road, at 1:40 p.m. May 6. The woman had stuffed the items into her Louis Vuitton handbag and attempted to flee.

5A man, age and residence not released, was arrested for theft, driving with a revoked license and four counts of damage to property after a witness saw him throwing bricks through car windows in the 8900 block of N. Park Plaza Court about midnight May 8. The man drove off but was stopped a few blocks away with stolen items, description not yet available, valued at over $2,000.

6A female, age and residence not released, was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia, operating a motor vehicle without the owner's consent and driving without a valid license after taking a relative's car from the 8000 block of N. 66th Street about 12:30 p.m. May 9. She, the car and a pipe with marijuana residue were found in the 5200 block of W. Bradley Road a short time later.

7A citation for a noise violation was issued to the construction company working at 6300 W. Brown Deer Road May 13. Neighbors had called police at least five times starting May 7 to report a generator running all night making a great deal of noise. The company was warned but continued to run the generator. Citations of up to $691 will be issued for each violation.

8A girl, age and residence not released, was arrested for operating a motor vehicle without the owner's consent in the 8300 block of N. Teutonia Avenue at 9:20 a.m. May 10. She was identified after she posted on Facebook that she now had a car and could give people rides. The car was recovered with a front tire missing in the 5600 block of N. 39th Street that afternoon.

9A man, age and residence not released, was arrested for drunken driving causing injury with a prior conviction, non-registration, driving without a valid license, failure to have insurance and improper stopping after driving through a stop sign and hitting a car in the 7600 block of N. Teutonia Avenue at 3 p.m. May 10. The man's car was on its side and he and a passenger were found on the roadway after exiting the car though the sunroof. The other driver had injuries to her arm and back. She and the man were taken to a hospital. After the man was cleared, he consented to a blood draw.

10A man, age and residence not released, was arrested for theft of 22 cans of baby formula valued at $400 from Pick 'n Save, 9200 N. Green Bay Road at 2 p.m. May 11. The man was seen in the formula aisle filling plastic bags with the product and then left the store without paying.

11A man, age and residence not released, was arrested for battery after choking a woman and biting her on the back at Candlewood Suites, 4483 W. Schroeder Drive at 6:32 a.m. May 12. A witness called police after seeing the two struggling in the parking lot. The woman said she and the man were just friends.


12A woman reported her debit card information was used fraudulently to purchase a Playstation 4 and games over the internet, to be picked up at Best Buy, 8755 N. Port Washington Road, May 8. The woman discovered the fraud when she went to her bank to withdraw money and was told she was overdrawn May 9. She still had her card and the case is under investigation.

· Residents reported being the victim of a scam after receiving a call saying their grandson was in a traffic accident and in a Lebanon jail May 14. They were told to call his attorney, Brain Weisman, at area code 438. They called the "attorney" who told them to send his fee of $1,875 via Western Union to Lebanon. They did that and then received another call and were told to send $1,780 again via Western Union for their grandson's medical expenses. They did that also and later discovered their grandson was in Madison and was fine.

13A man, age and residence not released, was arrested for drunken driving after pulling his car over with hazard lights flashing in the 7400 block of N. Beach Drive at 1:33 a.m. May 18. The man had a strong odor of alcohol and, when asked how much he had to drink, said, "Not that much …couple of beers, three or two." He failed field sobriety tests and had a blood alcohol level of 0.08.


14Twenty-two bottles of perfume valued at $1,595 including Versace, Gucci and Chanel were taken from Ulta Beauty, 5654 N. Bayshore Drive, at 8 p.m. May 7. Three females and one male were seen grabbing the perfume and running from the store heading south.

15Two saws and a meter valued at about $750 were taken from an unlocked vehicle in the 5100 block of N. Port Washington Road May 7 or 8.

16Copper piping and steel counters valued at $1,200 placed outside during remodeling were taken from Golden Living Center,1300 W. Silver Spring Drive, between noon May 7 and 7:30 a.m. May 8.

17A 32-inch TV valued at $400 was taken from the 6000 block of N. Green Bay Avenue about 9:30 a.m. May 8. The resident, who had left for work, returned home to get something and found her door unlocked and the apartment ransacked.

18A 25-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for possession of 2.8 grams of marijuana, two warrants and suspended registration and a 23-year-old Milwaukee woman on a theft warrant in the 5900 block of N. Milwaukee River Pkwy. at 10:27 p.m. May 9. A strong odor of burnt marijuana was evident in car.

19About $220 was taken from an unsecured cash register at the Hot Shades kiosk at Bayshore Town Center, 5800 N. Bayshore Drive between 8:40 p.m. May 9 and 10:15 a.m. May 10.

20A laptop computer valued at $600, numerous credit cards, car keys and a 2009 Chevy Trailblazer were taken during a burglary while the residents slept in the 4800 block of N. Port Washington Road about 2:30 a.m. May 10. Entry was gained through a window. The car was recovered behind the 5000 block of N. Port Washington Road that afternoon.

21A 21-year-old Glendale woman was arrested for theft of about $160 from her employer, Boston Store, 5701 N. Lydell Avenue at 12:35 p.m. May 12. The store discovered money missing from her cash drawer May 6, 7 and 10.

22A baggie with 3.5 grams of marijuana was found in a boys' bathroom stall in the Upper F wing at Nicolet High School, 6701 N. Jean Nicolet Road at 1:35 p.m. May 13.

23A 27-year-old Milwaukee woman was arrested for disorderly conduct after swearing and fighting with a man on a city bus in the 5900 block of N. Port Washington Road at 7:53 p.m. May 13. The driver called police when the two would not settle down and the fight escalated. The man had left the scene when police arrived, while the woman continued to yell and be "uncooperative."

24Four women, 18, 22, and two 25-year-olds, all of Milwaukee, were arrested for being escorts without licenses after police set up "dates" with them on a website used by prostitutes and met the women at The Radisson, 7065 N. Port Washington Road, the evening of May 13 and early morning May 14. A 24-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for party to that crime and a warrant.

25A woman is a suspect in the theft of numerous health and beauty products, value not available, after employees reported her stuffing those products into her purse, jacket and stockings and then fleeing Walgreens, 4035 N. Oakland Ave., about noon May 9. The woman had been in the store earlier and was seen on surveillance video almost falling asleep in the pharmacy area and then attempting to light a cigarette.

26Police were called after a stranger was found in a storage area at Anaba Tea Room, 2107 E. Capitol Drive, at 6:30 p.m. May 9. When an employee asked him what he was doing, he said he was an inspector checking doors and then left.

27Someone threw a rock at a window, breaking it, in the 4300 block of N. Wildwood Avenue between 9:30 and 10 p.m. May 9. Damage was $1,000.

28An unlocked 2005 Scion with the keys in it was taken from a driveway in the 4300 block of N. Morris Blvd. sometime from 10:30 p.m. May 11 to 7 a.m. May 12.

29A man, age and residence not released, was arrested for disorderly conduct after confronting an employee marking tires in a parking lot in the 4000 block of N. Bartlett Avenue at 12:30 p.m. May 12. The man confronted the employee saying his were the only tires being marked.

30An unsecured Kona boy's bicycle valued at $700 was taken from an underground garage in the 1800 block of E. Shorewood Blvd. sometime after 6 p.m. May 12 and 8 a.m. May 13.

31Four cars, three of them unlocked and one with damage to a door frame, were entered and rummaged through but nothing taken in the following blocks May 13 or 14: 1100 E. Kensington Blvd., 3500 N. Morris Blvd., 4400 N. Larkin Street.

32Electronics and jewelry valued at over $1,000 were taken during a burglary in the 4300 block of N. Stowell Avenue between 8 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. May 15. A rear window was pried open to gain entry. A neighbor reported seeing someone at the residence at 11:30 a.m. but did not call police.


33A witness reported that a "white female in her 20s" driving a car yelled profanities and took photos of another driver near E. Chateau Place and N. Marlborough Drive at 6:30 p.m. May 10. The woman was not located.

34Whitefish Bay police assisted UW-Milwaukee police with the arrest of a man, age and residence not released, during a drug investigation listed on a police report as "involved with distribution of marijuana" in the 5300 block of N. Shoreland Avenue at 8:41 p.m. May 10.

· A Whitefish Bay man, age not released, was arrested for disorderly conduct/domestic violence related, after a witness called police reporting a man "hitting his wife" at 12:44 a.m. May 11.

· A male, age and residence not released, was arrested for disorderly conduct after a report of a "verbal argument" about a "family matter" in the street at 7 p.m. May 11.

35A woman, age and residence not released, was arrested for drunken driving and refusal to take a breath test after she was stopped for driving left of center in the 5100 block of N. Lydell Avenue at 1:50 a.m. May 12. Her preliminary blood-alcohol level was 0.188.

36A fire pit valued at $400 was reported taken from the 4900 block of N. Oakland Avenue at 9 a.m. May 14. The time of the theft was not known.
