1A resident called police when a bat flew into her home in the 9400 block of North Lake Drive at 9 p.m. Aug. 9. Police assisted in getting the bat out of the house.
2A mailbox and post were damaged in the 8900 block of North Pelham Parkway overnight Aug. 10 or 11. Damage was $50.
3A 58-year-old River Hills man was arrested for drunken driving, with two prior convictions, in the 800 block of West Brown Deer Road at 11:45 p.m. Aug. 11. His BAC was 0.16.
4A 61-year-old Brown Deer woman had to leave her residence after it was declared uninhabitable in the 7800 block of North Sherman Boulevard at 8 p.m. July 28. A plumber called police after she called him to report a leaking pipe in the basement and he found about five feet of water in the basement that covered electrical outlets and part of the furnace and water heater. In addition, he could barely enter the home because the door was blocked with papers and other items stacked floor to ceiling. There was also debris floating in the basement. The village shut off the water and We Energies disconnected all electrical service.
5A 33-year-old Milwaukee woman was arrested for theft at Kohl's, 9060 N. Green Bay Road, at 4 p.m. July 31. The woman put items into her purse, fled the store and got into a car, which police stopped about a block away. The items she had taken - five bottles of cologne and a shirt valued at $247 - were in the car.
6A purse - whose contents included a wallet, credit cards and $380 - was taken after it was left unattended in a cart at Burlington Coat Factory, 9040 N. Green Bay Road, at 1 p.m. Aug. 1. The purse was found in a bathroom waste basket but the money and some other items were missing.
7A picture window on a residence was hit with at least a dozen pellets shot from a BB gun in the 8100 block of North 66th Street at 11:35 p.m. Aug. 1. The resident heard the pellets hit the window and called police. The window sustained an estimated $720 damage.
8A Milwaukee sister and brother, 18 and 21, were arrested for theft and the woman also for obstructing police at Kohl's, 9060 N. Green Bay Road, at 1:30 p.m. Aug. 2. She lied about her name and age saying she was only 14 because she thought police wouldn't arrest a 14-year-old. She was seen using a pliers to cut off security tags and then putting the items, some handed to her by her brother, into her purse. She took the clothing, she said, because she was going to State Fair and needed something to wear.
9A 57-year-old Brown Deer man was arrested for drunken driving, with two prior convictions, and failure to yield after he drove through a stop sign and was hit by another car that had the right of way, causing his car to flip over in the 8200 block of North 37th Street at 8 p.m. Aug. 2. The man, who said he tried to stop but his brakes didn't work, was taken to a hospital for injuries. His preliminary BAC was 0.138.
10A $400 power mower was taken from a yard in the 4600 block of West Parkland Avenue after 1 p.m. Aug. 3.

11A Whitefish Bay woman reportedly took three diamond rings from a family member and pawned them at Robert Haack Diamonds, 6969 N. Port Washington Road, one on July 25 and two on July 26. The family is not pursuing charges.
12Two flat-screen TVs, a laptop computer and 20 pairs of "high-end" jeans valued at over $3,600 were taken from the 5900 block of North Sidney Place about 2 p.m. Aug. 3. A witness,who called police after seeing three teenage males leave with some of the items, was able to get the plate number. There was sign of forced entry. The car they were in was stolen from a Milwaukee residence Aug. 1 and recovered in the 2600 block of North 15th Street on Aug. 7.
13Three Adderall pills and 48 Narco pills valued at about $60 were taken from a room at the Radisson Hotel, 7065 N. Port Washington Road, between noon and 5 p.m. Aug. 2.
14A backpack containing a video game system, a digital media player and a e-reader tablet, with a combined value of more than $800, was taken from a bench while the owner was bowling at IPic, 5750 N. Bayshore Drive, about 3:45 p.m. Aug. 4. The backpack was found in a bathroom with the items missing.
15A 17-year-old boy and two 14-year-old boys, residences not listed, were arrested for theft after they failed to pay their $50 bill at the Cheesecake Factory, 5799 N. Bayshore Drive, at 3 p.m. Aug. 5. They were located at 4 p.m. and told police a friend who had left said he would pay. The boys also said they didn't know their friend's last name or address. At this time, the 17-year-old was found with a cell phone reported stolen from the kiosk of Massage Therapy by Lilly, 5800 N. Bayshore Drive, at 3:50 p.m. Aug. 5. He denied taking the phone saying his friend gave it to him. He was arrested for receiving stolen property.
16A 38-year-old Glendale man was arrested on three counts of felony criminal charge of child abuse, intentionally causing harm, after a witness called police to the 5900 block of North Sidney Place at 10:45 a.m. Aug. 6. A relative was given custody of the victims.
17A purse and contents - including diamond, gold and Tanzanite jewelry and a gold Rolex watch with a value, according to the victim, "worth hundreds of thousands of dollars" - was taken after it was left in the dining room at the Residence Inn, 7275 N. Port Washington Road, at 9:30 a.m. Aug. 9.
18A 17-year-old Milwaukee woman was arrested for trespassing and disorderly conduct at Bayshore Town Center, 5800 N. Port Washington Road, at 7:10 p.m. Aug. 11. The woman had been permanently banned from the center in March but denied that saying the ban was from more than a year ago and had expired. She became vulgar and profane to police in front of children.
19An 18-year-old Milwaukee man, stopped by police for having a stolen temporary plate on his car, was arrested for driving with a suspended license, with 21 prior convictions, failure to have insurance and nonregistration in the 4700 block of North Port Washington Road at 9:10 p.m. Aug. 11. There was another stolen plate in the car but the man said he had just purchased the car and the seller gave him those plates. They were destroyed.

20An unidentified woman was caught on surveillance video taking groceries and health products valued at over $500 from Pick 'n Save, 4145 N. Oakland Ave., at 10:45 p.m. Aug. 2 and reported Aug. 4. The woman had loaded a cart with food and health products and left the store without paying.
21A 25-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for habitual intoxication/unable to care for himself after he was found sleeping on a porch in the 1200 block of East Glendale Avenue at 3:45 a.m. Aug. 5.
22A 28-year-old Shorewood man who was in his apartment with windows opened was warned for noise after complaints of him laughing for over 10 minutes so loudly it could be heard from the street in the 3500 block of North Oakland Avenue at 1:25 a.m. Aug. 5.
23A GPS unit valued at $130 and $10 cash were taken from a car in an alley in the 3800 block of North Oakland Avenue overnight Aug. 6 or 7. A window sustained $150 damage.
24Chalk was used to draw sexually explicit pictures and to write obscene words on a driveway in the 3600 block of North Hackett Avenue on Aug. 8 or 9. The driveway was washed and no damage was reported.
25A $475 bicycle and $50 bike helmet were taken from a garage in the 4300 block of North Woodburn Street just before 9 p.m. Aug. 9.
26A car's window trim and side mirror were damaged in the 4300 block of North Marlborough Drive on Aug. 7 or 8. Damage was $400.
27Three Whitefish Bay men and a Milwaukee man, all 18, were cited for trespassing at St. Monica's School, 5635 N. Santa Monica Blvd., at 11:45 p.m. Aug. 3.
28A 25-year-old Whitefish Bay man was arrested for drunken driving (with a prior conviction), failure to wear a seat belt, no proof of insurance, failure to display a license plate and nonregistration in the 5900 block of North Lydell Avenue at 3:10 a.m. Aug. 5. He refused to take a breath test and was taken for a blood draw.
29Two 15-year-old Milwaukee boys were arrested for theft of two bicycles, together valued at $700, from St. Monica's School, 5635 N. Santa Monica Blvd., about 6:30 p.m. Aug. 6. The boys were stopped a short while later riding those bikes in the 700 block of West Silver Spring Drive.
30An unsecured $300 bicycle was taken from a bike rack at Whitefish Bay High School, 1200 E. Fairmount Ave., between 7 p.m. and 8 p.m. Aug. 7.
31Four 15-year-old Whitefish Bay boys were cited for trespassing at Santa Monica's School, 5635 N. Santa Monica Blvd., at 10 p.m. Aug. 8.
32Three Milwaukee males, 16, 17 and 18, were arrested for two robberies about 7 p.m. Aug. 9. In the first robbery the two younger males, both with bandanas covering their faces, forced a woman to give them her two shopping bags as she walked in the 200 block of East Birch Avenue about 5 p.m. They fled in a van driven by the 18-year-old. In the second robbery, the same two boys again covering their faces forcibly took a purse from a woman in the 300 block of East Lake View Avenue at 6:45 p.m. They again fled in the van but were stopped by Glendale police in the 3700 block of West Silver Spring Drive.
33A 24-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for carrying a concealed weapon, driving after suspension, having a broken windshield, nonregistration and not wearing a seat belt in the 1000 block of East Chateau Place at 1:05 a.m. Aug. 11. A 19-year-old Milwaukee woman, a passenger, was arrested on a warrant and failure to wear a seat belt.
