1A purse and contents valued at about $50 and $50 in change were taken from two unlocked cars in an open garage in the 9000 block of North Pelham Parkway between 4 p.m. Nov. 26 and 8 a.m. Nov. 27.
2A girl, age and residence not released, was arrested Sept. 17 for a warrant and theft from her employer Michael's, 9060 N. Green Bay Road, from Aug. 20 to Sept. 7. The girl took and activated 16 Visa gift cards without paying for them and gave those cards to friends who used them to purchase items valued at $5,400. The girl had also taken $130 worth of items. She admitted the thefts saying she gave the cards to "friends who had helped her."
3Two sisters, ages and residences not released, were arrested for disorderly conduct after fighting at Brown Deer Middle and High School, 8060 N. 60th St., at 12:20 p.m. Nov. 12. The girls pulled hair and scratched at each other and one also attempted to remove an earring from her sister's ear saying the earring was hers. The girls also said they fight a lot at home.
4Two TVs, value not available, were taken during a burglary in the 8000 block of North 66th Street sometime Nov. 14 to Nov. 23. There was no information available regarding possible signs of forced entry.
5A car window was broken causing more than $200 damage at the YMCA, 9250 N. Green Bay Road, before noon Nov. 18. Nothing was reported taken.
6A central air-conditioner unit was taken from St. Martin's Episocal Church, 8401 N. 60th St., sometime Nov. 18 to 21. The value of the unit was not yet available.
· A Brown Deer man, age not released, was arrested for battery and disorderly conduct both domestic violence related after the man choked a woman and knocked her down causing a knee injury at 12:25 a.m. Nov. 20. He had taken the woman's phone but gave it back. She then called 911 to report her injuries. The man, who admitted drinking, denied attacking the woman saying he was just trying to hug her.
7A truck was broken into and various items taken including a debit card in the 4100 block of West Hawthorne Trace Road on Nov. 20 or 21. The debit card was used before the theft was discovered.
8A boy, age and residence not released, was arrested for underage possession of tobacco and theft from Kohl's, 9060 N. Green Bay Road, at 4:40 p.m. Nov. 21. The boy took three pairs of Levi's and two shirts valued at $218 hiding some in his backpack and others in his pants. When stopped a package of cigarillos was found in that backpack. He admitted the theft saying, "It was a dumb mistake."
9A computer and two cases of soda, value not available, were taken during a burglary in the 8000 block of North 61st Street between 6 a.m. and 5 p.m. Nov. 22. There was sign of forced entry.
10A burglary was reported in the 7700 block of North Beach Drive at 11:25 a.m. Nov. 26. The owner said he'd last been at the home Nov. 20 and no damage was evident. This time there was sign of forced entry to both the main house and a beach house with locks broken along with some windows. A wine cooler appliance valued at $1,000 had been taken from the first floor and a toilet from the second floor. Also found missing were light fixtures and a door knocker. A couch not belonging to the home owner was found in the beach house turned to face the lake.
· A Fox Point female, age not released, was arrested for battery/domestic violence related after she pushed and bit a relative at 2:50 p.m. Nov. 27.
11A 19-year-old Milwaukee woman was arrested Nov. 21 for theft of $2,500 from her employer, Andrew Toyota, 1620 W. Silver Spring Drive, the evening of Oct. 31. The woman admitted taking the money, a down payment for a car, from the register and then canceling the transaction of that sale. She was identified as a new employee.
12Factory installed electronic components valued at $8,500 were taken from a truck at Concours Motors, 1400 W. Silver Spring Drive, sometime Nov. 21 to 25. The trunk was forced open and damage caused by the removal of the components was more than $1,500.
13A 13-year-old girl and a 21-year-old woman, residences not released, were arrested for theft and receiving stolen property and the girl also for possession of marijuana and obstruction for not giving her name at Gap Kids, 401 W. Northshore Drive, at 7 p.m. Nov. 22. They were found with items valued at $336 taken from Gap Kids, H&M and Aeropostale. The girl had 0.71 grams of marijuana.
14A 41-year-old woman, residence not released, was arrested for drunken driving after a report of her weaving in traffic in the 5600 block of North Green Bay Avenue at 3:22 a.m. Nov. 23. She failed field sobriety tests and admitted drinking. Her BAC was 0.09.
15A 16-year-old girl and a 15-year-old boy, residences not released, were arrested for possession of marijuana and the boy also for possession of drug paraphernalia after a report of a suspicious car with four passengers in the back seat in the eastern lot of Kletzsch Park, 6700 N. Milwaukee River Parkway, at 9:50 p.m. Nov. 23. The girl had 0.62 grams of marijuana and the boy had a grinder and 1.8 grams of marijuana.
16A 59-year-old woman, residence not released, was arrested for trespassing and theft from Boston Store, 5701 N. Lydell Ave., and Charming Charlie, 516 W. Silver Spring Drive, about 1 p.m. Nov. 24. The woman, who had taken clothing, underwear, cologne and jewelry valued at more than $300, was banned in 2012 for five years from Bayshore after an arrest for theft.
17A 49-year-old man, residence not released, was arrested for theft from Sears, 5900 N. Port Washington Road, at 3:30 p.m. Nov. 24. The man had taken items valued at more than $240 including a sewing machine, a door knob kit and slippers and then running from the store into the cemetery next to the store.
18A 32-year-old woman, residence not released, was arrested for fraud after attempting to purchase 10 smartphones using a business name she was not affiliated with at Verizon, 5790 N. Port Washington Road, at 5:50 p.m. Nov. 24.
19A 20-year-old woman, residence not released, was arrested for escort without a license and a 26-year-old man, residence not available, for party to that crime, at La Quinta Inn, 5110 N. Port Washington Road, at 1:45 a.m. Nov. 25. Police set up "a date" with the woman who posted her services on a known website used by prostitutes. The man, identified as her "pimp," denied knowing the woman until police found messages to and from her on his cellphone.
20A 32-year-old man, residence not released, was arrested for a warrant and theft from Sears, 5900 N. Port Washington Road, at 10:30 a.m. Nov. 25. The man took items valued at more than $300 including two portable DVD players and a pair of shoes which he put on leaving his old shoes behind.
21A man, age and residence not available, was arrested for various traffic offenses including driving too fast for conditions as he was test driving a car and lost control, hit a curb and then hit a pedestrian shattering that person's leg in the McDonald's parking lot, 5344 N. Port Washington Road, at 1 p.m. Nov. 25.
No reportable incidents this week.
22A wallet was taken from a teacher's purse in her classroom at Shorewood High School, 1701 E. Capitol Drive, about 4:15 p.m. Nov. 22. The wallet was valued at $130 and held $250 cash and various credit and debit cards. A witness reported seeing a male in the area at that time.
23A laptop computer valued at $2,000 and jewelry, value not yet available, were taken during a burglary in the 1500 block of East Olive Street sometime 5:30 a.m. and 7:40 p.m. Nov. 26. A rear window was pried open to gain entry after the storm window was removed and hidden.
24A resident reported "the disappearance" of mini tablet and a standard tablet valued at $750 from the 4900 block of North Ardmore Avenue the evening of Nov. 23.
25Four center hubcaps were taken from a 2007 Mini Cooper in the 6000 block of North Bay Ridge Avenue on Nov. 23 or 24. The hubcaps were valued at $300.
26A male, age and residence not released, was arrested for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia in the 800 block of East Lake Forest Avenue at 10:50 p.m. Nov. 24.
27A man, age and residence not released, was arrested for drunken driving, improper display of license plate and failure to stop at a flashing red light in the 5900 block of North Lake Drive at 2:40 a.m. Nov. 28. His BAC was 0.11.
28The side of a car was damaged by a hit-and-run driver in the 5200 block of North Idlewild Avenue sometime after 8 p.m. Nov. 28 and before 1 a.m. Nov. 29. The amount of damage was not available.
29A man, age and residence not released, was arrested for drunken driving after a report of him driving north in a southbound lane in the 5600 block of North Lake Drive and stopped in the 800 block of East Silver Spring Drive at 10:10 p.m. Nov. 29. His BAC was 0.23.
NORTH SHORE FIRE DEPARTMENT
· Firefighters responded to 107 calls, 68 emergency medical and 39 fire/rescue, Nov. 25 to Dec. 1.
30Firefighters responded to a carbon monoxide detector alarm at a "24-hour care/nursing home of four or more persons" in the 7400 block of North Berwyn Avenue, Glendale, at 3:10 a.m. Nov. 25. A strong odor of engine exhaust was reported with the first floor having a 28 PPM reading and the basement a reading of 20 to 28 PPM. No residents reported any medical issues. A caregiver said he had been running a car in the garage with the door open for an unknown amount of time. A short time later he admitted the door had been closed. The home was completely ventilated.
31Firefighters responded to a grease fire in the 8200 block of North Ivy Street, Brown Deer, at 8:47 p.m. Nov. 29. A man exited the home with "burns to his body" and was medically treated. A small kitchen fire was extinguished and the house vented. Damage was listed at about $5,000 including to kitchen cabinets.
