Police Report: Sept. 3

BAYSIDE

1A male, age and residence not released, was arrested for possession of 5.9 grams of marijuana after he was seen driving with an expired plate in the 500 block of West Brown Deer Road at 1:50 a.m. Aug. 28. There was a strong odor of marijuana in the car and when the officer asked about it, the male reached into the center counsel and pulled out a blunt. When asked if he had any more marijuana, he reached into the front of his pants and pulled out a bag with more marijuana.

2A man, age and residence not released, was arrested for drunken driving after a report of a reckless driver on Interstate 43 at Good Hope Road at 3 a.m. Aug. 31. The man was stopped after exiting the freeway and admitted having a few beers hours before. He failed field sobriety tests and had a blood alcohol content of 0.15.

3A man, age and residence not released, was arrested for drunken driving after making an illegal U-turn at Port Washington and Brown Deer roads at 12:15 a.m. Sept. 1. He failed field sobriety tests and admitted being at fault for drinking and driving. His BAC was 0.11

4Two males, not yet 21, residences not released, were arrested, one, the driver, for absolute sobriety and the other, a passenger, for underage possession/drinking of alcohol in the 500 block of West Brown Deer Road at 3:15 a.m. Sept. 2. The car was stopped after the driver made an illegal U-turn. His BAC was 0.10. An open bottle of whiskey was found in the car and the passenger had a BAC of 0.04.

BROWN DEER

5A male, 16 to 18, was seen taking a bicycle from an open garage in the 5300 block of West Terry Avenue about noon Aug. 21. That witness grabbed the boy who dropped the bike and fled in a full size GMC van.

· A resident reported that someone used her phone number in a classified ad on Craigslist Aug. 21. An officer assisted the woman in removing the ad and advised her regarding ID theft.

6A number of steel bollards, described as posts, valued at $1,200 were taken from the south side of the parking lot at the new elementary school, 5757 W. Dean Road, before 3:45 p.m. Aug. 23. Surveillance video showed two men in the area driving an older, open bed Ford F150.

7A man, age and residence not released, was arrested for disorderly conduct/domestic violence related after threatening and pushing a woman in the 9000 block of North Green Bay Road at 4:20 p.m. Aug. 25. The woman had been shopping as the man waited in a car which he moved. She couldn't find him at first and when she did, she also found he'd been drinking and there was beer in the car. She dumped out the beer telling him she would now drive. He then yelled at her and chased her around the car saying, "I'm going to beat your (expletive)."

· A Brown Deer woman, age not released, was arrested for disorderly conduct/domestic violence related, after she shoved and slapped her boyfriend at 1:40 p.m. Aug. 26. She came home to find him playing video games with a friend and told him he should be at work. She slapped his face, kicked a door and threw some of her clothes around saying "I'll (expletive) kill you." The man told police, she had "anger management issues."

8A known suspect was wanted for disorderly conduct after she dumped over two wire racks spilling more thn 125 bags of chips in the aisle at Shell Gas, 4685 W. Bradley Road, at 10:30 p.m. Aug. 26. The woman came to the station to buy $9 of gas saying she would pay $3 in cash and charge $7 on a credit card. When told that would be two transactions, she yelled profanities and dumped over the cases and left.

FOX POINT

9Four juveniles, ages, gender and residences not released, were cited for trespassing after they were seen with beach towels wearing wet swimsuits in the 7000 block of North Yates Road at 10:17 p.m. Aug. 27. They told police they were in a "friend's pool." When they couldn't give a location of that pool, they admitted swimming in the Fox Point Municipal Pool, 7100 N. Santa Monica Blvd. When asked how they got inside, they said they climbed the fence.

GLENDALE

10A laptop computer valued at $2,000 and some cash were taken from a kitchen table while the residents slept in the 6700 block of North Melissa Court sometime 1 to 7:30 a.m. Aug. 21. A side patio door was forced opened to gain entry.

11A screen was cut to gain entry to a porch but nothing was taken in the 6600 block of North Bethmaur Lane during the day Aug. 21.

12A $300 digital media player, $500 laptop and about $200 were taken from a car in the 4400 block of North Port Washington Road sometime 7:30 to 8 p.m. Aug. 21. A window was smashed causing more than $200 damage.

13A $150 lawnmower and $500 snow blower were taken from a garage in the 5200 block of North 26th Street on Aug. 21 and 22. A door was pried open to gain entry. The snow blower was recovered in a nearby yard.

14A $550 laptop computer and a gym bag were taken from a car in the 1700 block of West Florist Avenue on Aug. 21 or 22. A chunk of concrete was used to break a window causing more than $200 damage and pry marks were found on the trunk lid.

15A 24-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for drunken driving and speeding 50 mph in a 30 mph zone in the 2500 block of West Silver Spring Drive at 1:10 a.m. Aug. 23. His BAC was 0.17.

16A $50 shop vac was reported taken from a garage in the 5700 block of North Bel Aire Drive on Aug. 23.

17A 38-year-old man, residence not released, was arrested for drunken driving, with two prior convictions, and refusal to take a breath test after he ran into the back of a stopped motorcycle in the 4800 block of North Port Washington Road at 8:20 p.m. Aug. 23. The motorcyclist said he had stopped for traffic when he heard screeching and the car hit his cycle. No injuries were reported. The man refused to take a breath and a warrant was issued and he was taken for a blood draw.

18A 43-year-old man, residence not released, was arrested for drunken driving after he drove over the medium flattening his two front tires in the 6700 block of North Port Washington Road at 3 a.m. Aug. 24. The man, who then attempted to drive away, had a BAC of 0.21.

19A laptop computer valued at $1,000 was taken from a home in the 1000 block of West River Park Lane sometime midnight to 2 a.m. Aug. 24. Entry might have been gained through an unlocked patio door.

20A wallet was taken from a kitchen counter in the 2200 block of West Arbor Drive between 9:15 and 10:15 p.m. Aug. 24. The burglar removed a screen and reached in through the open window to take the wallet.

21Two juveniles on bikes grabbed a $10 bill from the hands of a man walking in the 6100 block of North Green Bay Road at 3:40 p.m. Aug. 25.

22A 25-year-old woman, residence not released, was arrested for disorderly conduct, trespassing and receiving stolen property in the 300 block of West Fountainview Drive, Bayshore Town Center, at 4:15 p.m. Aug. 25. The woman, previously arrested for theft at the mall, had a lifetime ban and when told she had to leave began struggling with a security guard. When a stolen necklace was found in her purse, she said it wasn't her purse.

23A purse and contents was taken from an apartment in the 2600 block of West Custer Avenue between 5 and 7 p.m. Aug. 25. The resident had "stepped out" to do laundry and left the door unlocked.

24A $600 TV and jewelry valued at more than $4,000 were taken from an unsecured residence in the 1700 block of West Mill Road between 2:30 and 9:30 p.m. Aug. 25.

25A 41-year-old man, residence not released, was arrested for theft of sunglasses valued at $230 from The Sunglass Hut, 490 W. Northshore Drive, about 1:15 p.m. Aug. 26. The man was seen taking the glasses but was stopped as he got in his car. He also had two other pair of sunglasses valued at $100 taken from Boston Store.

26Four wheels and tires valued at $7,300 were taken from a 2013 Mercedes at Concours Motors, 1400 W. Silver Spring Drive, on Aug. 25 or 26. The rear of the car was on blocks and the front end on the ground.

27A $1,200 laptop computer was taken from a kitchen counter in the 5500 block of North Bethmaur Lane about 11:50 p.m. Aug. 26. A witness said she saw a man reach in the window and take the laptop. The screen had been cut.

28A 22-year-old man, residence not listed, was arrested for theft from his employer, GNC, 5900 N. Port Washington Road, at noon Aug. 27. The man had checked out customers and if they paid in cash kept about $1,200 of it. He also took products worth more than $300. He admitted the thefts saying he was a college student and was very sorry.

29An elderly man was the victim of an armed robbery as he sat in the passenger seat of his car waiting for his caregiver at Bayshore Town Center parking structure, 5631 N. Bayshore Drive, at 3 p.m. Aug. 27. The man reported that a male about 17 walked up and pointed a gun at him demanding his wallet or he would be shot. The victim gave the suspect the wallet and the suspect fled. That wallet was later found on Milwaukee's south side.

30Items valued at more than $1,000 including a video game system, video games and DVDs were taken from an apartment in the 6100 block of North Green Bay Avenue sometime 3:40 to 10:30 p.m. Aug. 27. Entry was gained through a back door.

31A strong-armed robbery was reported at Torrid Creek, 5680 N. Bayshore Drive, about 11:10 a.m. Aug. 28. Two women entered the store and began grabbing clothing. An employee approached them suggesting they place their selections on the counter so they could continue to shop. One of the women punched the clerk in the face causing a bloody nose. The women then ran to a car dropping some of the items as they ran.

32A 24-year-old man, residence not released, was arrested for drunken driving in the 4100 block of North Port Washington Road at 3 a.m. Aug. 29. His BAC was 0.22.

RIVER HILLS

No reportable incidents this week.

SHOREWOOD

33A DVD player valued at $200 was taken from a car in the 2500 block of East Lake Bluff Avenue on Aug. 22 or 23.

34An electronic tablet and a computer valued at $1,400 were taken from the 2700 block of East Shorewood Boulevard on Aug. 23 or 24. Entry was gained through an unlocked back door.

35A .45-caliber pistol, a laptop computer and prescription medicine valued at more than $1,300 were taken from a lower duplex in the 4400 block of North Sheffield Avenue on Aug. 23 or 24. There was sign of forced entry.

36An electronic tablet valued at $890 was reported taken from Atwater School, 2100 E. Capitol Drive, on Aug. 24. It was last seen June 17.

37A purse and contents was taken from a car in the 4200 block of North Estabrook Parkway between 12:30 and 3:30 p.m. Aug. 24. Stolen credit cards were used to charge more than $600 at Godfather Electronics.

38Shorewood police assisted rescue of a Shorewood male, age not released, after a 911 call in the 4600 block of North Bartlett Avenue at 1:40 a.m. Aug. 25. The man, who was taken to a hospital, admitted overdosing on cocaine and methadone.

39A purse was taken from the 3800 block of North Prospect Avenue between 9:15 and 9:30 p.m. Aug. 25. Someone entered the home through an unlocked front door while the residents were upstairs. The purse was recovered in a nearby yard with $10 missing.

40Counterfeit checks were used to purchase items at two Sherman Williams stores, 4334 N. Oakland Ave., on Aug. 25 and 3510 N. Oakland Ave. on Aug. 26. There is a suspect and the case is under investigation.

41An unlocked bicycle valued at $150 was taken a bike rack at Shorewood High School, 1701 E. Capitol Drive, on Aug. 27.

42An $800 electronic tablet, two check books and a PC laptop value not available were taken from a residence in the 4300 block of North Alpine Avenue on Aug. 27 or 28. Entry was gained through an unlocked door.

43A purse, valued at $400 and contents including perfume valued at $200, $100 cash, credit cards and a passport, was taken from an unlocked car in the 2500 block of East Marion Street on Aug. 27 or 28. The passport was recovered in the same block. Credit cards were used at businesses in Shorewood and Milwaukee.

44A man, age and residence not released, was arrested for operating a motor vehicle without the owner's consent after taking a car from the 2200 block of East Kensington Avenue at 10:14 a.m. Aug. 29. He was stopped a few minutes later in the 1000 of East Capitol Drive.

45A male was seen attempting to enter a car in the 4500 block of North Oakland Avenue at 10:45 a.m. Aug. 29. That witness yelled at the male who then ran off.

WHITEFISH BAY

46Three bicycles, two valued at $500 and one at $300, were taken from an open garage in the 4600 block of North Murray Avenue between 4 and 10 p.m. Aug. 24.

47A phone charger valued at $30 was taken from an unlocked car in a driveway in the 5100 block of North Elkhart Avenue on Aug. 24 or 25.

48Items valued at $180 including a dog crate and leather shoes were taken from a curb in the 4800 block of North Larkin Street about 4:30 p.m. Aug. 25.

· There were 10 reports of "tagging" or graffiti Aug. 25 to 29: east of the playground at Richards School, 5812 N. Santa Monica Blvd.; on bleachers, a brick wall, loading dock and a rear door at Whitefish Bay High School, 1200 E. Fairmount Ave.; Dumpsters at 103 E. Silver Spring Drive; at Whitefish Bay Middle School, 1144 E. Henry Clay St. and in the 600 block of East Henry Clay Street; a retaining wall at Big Bay Park, 5000 N. Palisades Road; on a building at Aurora Healthcare, 325 E. Silver Spring Drive; an "extensive" amount on the pumping building at Klode Park, 5900 N. Shore Drive; a garage in the 5100 block of North Hollywood Avenue; a picnic table in the 500 block of East Beaumont Avenue.

49A front door lock was tampered with causing $100 damage at 103 E. Silver Spring Drive on Aug. 25 or 26. No entry was gained.

50A male, age and residence not released, was arrested for possession of marijuana and a pipe with residue after stopped for riding his bicycle without lights in the 1700 block of East Hampton Road at 12:40 a.m. Aug. 27.

51A wallet and contents including ATM cards was taken from a car in a driveway in the 2000 block of East Glendale Avenue on Aug. 28 or 29. Charges of more than $100 were made.

52A Whitefish Bay woman, age not released, was mailed a citation for unlawful use of a telephone after a neighbor reported the woman called 12 to 14 times leaving threatening messages that she was going to come to the neighbor's home "to scare her children" in the 6000 block of North Kent Avenue on Aug. 28 and 29.

53A bicycle valued at $150 was taken from an unlocked garage in the 5000 block of North Bay Ridge Avenue before noon Aug. 29.

54A digital media player valued at $200 was taken from an unlocked car in a driveway in the 5300 block of North Kent Avenue on Aug. 29 or 30.

55An electronic tablet and a laptop computer valued at $2,400 were taken from an unlocked car in the 5300 block of North Kent Avenue on Aug. 29 or 30.

56Two males and a female, ages and residences not released, were cited for park hours after police received a 911 hang-up call coming from Klode park, 6000 N. Shore Drive, at 2:35 a.m. Aug. 31. One of their cellphones made a 911 pocket call.

57An unsecured bicycle valued at $425 was taken from a yard in the 500 block of East Henry Clay Street on Aug. 31 or Sept. 1.

58A bicycle valued at $500 was taken from a fenced-in yard in the 5700 block of North Bay Ridge Avenue on Aug. 31 or Sept. 1.

NORTH SHORE FIRE DEPARTMENT

· Firefighters responded to 156 calls, 104 emergency medical and 52 fire/rescue, Aug. 26 to Sept. 1.
