Larry Hisle, Milwaukee Brewer’s Manager of Youth Outreach, will be the featured guest speaker at the Temple Menorah Sisterhood-Men's Club Annual Winter Brunch on Sunday February 12, 2012 at 10AM at the synagogue, 9363 North 76th Street.
Larry Hisle resides in Mequon and is the President of Major League Mentoring, a youth mentoring program in Milwaukee that works extensively with young, disadvantaged males.
Hisle, former outfielder in Major League Baseball, played with the Philadelphia Phillies (1968–71),Minnesota Twins (1973–77) and Milwaukee Brewers (1978–82). He batted and threw right-handed. He was formerly the hitting coach for the Toronto Blue Jays helping them to World Series titles in 1992and 1993. Under his coaching in 1993 Blue Jays John Olerud, Paul Molitor and Roberto Alomar finished 1-2-3 in the American League respectively in batting average.
Members of the Temple Menorah Men’s Club and Sisterhood as well as the general public are invited to attend the very popular Winter Brunch and participate in this special forum. Reservations required: Sisterhood and Men’s Club members $9.00, Non-members $12.00.
