NEWS AND NOTES

Meeting notes: Ann Tennyson started happy bucks with a tardy payment for her birthday. Tom Schultz paid a commemorative dollar, saying that he is happy to have known Dick Pietsch. Ed Ellingson paid a hopeful dollar, having found a prospective candidate for vice president. Our guest, Carol Klose, paid a dollar just to show that she was happy to be at the meeting and looking forward to the golf outing. Bob Reinhardt paid a sad dollar because he heard from Jan Fitzgerald's daughter that Jan is leaving the Club. Gary Knisbeck contributed a buck, happily anticipating his coming vacation in Germany. Ken Snyder was happy to deposit a dollar for an opportunity to thank Rob Ritter for his auction evening on Okauchee Lake with Gayle and Larry Schneider. Eli Potkonjak threw in a buck for Paula's birthday and 30 years together.

Golf: Kevin Dwyer took charge of this week's meeting to do some concentrated planning for the June 27 golf outing. One task that needs a little more manpower is stuffing of good-bags. If you can show up a little early, say 9:30 on the day of the event, you can help. There is still room for golfers, but you need to tell Kevin ( 262-754-4013 ) soon. Still plenty of time to sign up to be a hole sponsor.

Dick Pietsch: Many of you saw Dick Pietsch's obituary, which Bob Reinhardt forwarded last week. Members recounted stories about Dick at this week's meeting. At its next meeting the board will consider a contribution from the Club in Dick's memory.

Member news: Carl Smith saw Gary Krueger, who is settling in at his new home.

Meetings: Tuesday noon, Mayfair Mall Community Room
